Scope and Content
The McKitrick family business and personal papers includes financial records from the store, personal correspondence and other personal family papers. The store records include account books recording transactions. The correspondence is from William S. McKitrick (WSM), Ada McKitrick (AM), Sara McKitrick and James McKitrick. WSM's correspondence consists mainly of litigations, orders, contracts, insurance papers, receipts and some family news, along with the blood-line for the horses he raised. AM's correspondence is mostly social, from friends and relatives. Her correspondence is postmarked from: Tucson, Arizona; Roslyn, Washington; and The Western Female Seminary Auxiliary in Cincinnati, Ohio. The rest of the family papers are invitations to weddings, picnics, graduations and reunions.
