Speeches

Campus news scrapbooks contains scrapbooks and photographs that depict important events that occurred during the middle of the twentieth century at Ohio University. The articles in the scrapbooks span from 1938 to 1966.

The Charles J. Ping speeches contains speech transcripts, letters requesting Ping's presence, notes thanking him for his appearances, note cards he used when speaking, final copies of his speeches, and notes made on drafts of speeches. The collection spans from 1975 to 1997. It contains speeches made during Ping's tenure as president of Ohio University and speeches made after his retirement.

The collection on Vernon R. Alden spans from 1957 to 1999 and contains records collected about VRA.

The J.P. Weethee journal of mineral land purchases for General Thomas Ewing spans from 1872 to 1882 and documents Weethee’s life during this time period and his business interactions with Ewing.

The William D. Huntsman (WDH) collection on the Department of Chemistry's Achievement Awards Evening contains records relating to WDH's participation in this Ohio University event.

The William Henry Scott (WHS) Baccalaureate Sermons span from 1874 to 1882 and contain sermons composed by WHS for commencement ceremonies.
