May 20, 2021, marks the tenth anniversary for  Global Accessibility Awareness Day  ( GAAD ). GAAD is an event that promotes digital accessibility and inclusion to individuals with disabilities and impairments. This year, the  OHIO Digital Accessibility Network (OHIO-DAN) , is working to spread knowledge and awareness to the OHIO campus community on best practices for usability and accessibility.  

Activities and tips will be shared on various social media channels and accounts leading up to the actual event day. Check the  Accessibility and Usability Teams channel  for updates on GAAD opportunities and to learn more. Want to be more involved? Consider  joining the OHIO-DAN , where participants are encouraged to support efforts across all OHIO’s campuses to improve digital accessibility for everyone. 

The OHIO DAN will meet on May 20, 2021, from 4-5:00 pm for a GAAD social hour. Topics include celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day, new things you learned during specific GAAD activities in May, and announcing the GAAD scavenger hunt winners.
