This is a patient-doctor simulation at OU's Heritage College of Medicine. Deaf volunteers will take on the role of doctors and interact with first- and second-year medical students who will take on the role of patients. This simulation provides insight into the communication barriers that Deaf individuals often experience due to inadequate resources provided by the healthcare system.
