IEW Global Research Symposium

In anticipation of International Education Week in November, the Office of Global Affairs is inviting students to take part in its annual Global Research Challenge, which draws inspiration from the 3-Minute Thesis format (which the University of Queensland founded in 2008). This competition challenges students to present their research within three minutes to a non-specialist audience using a single static PowerPoint slide, without any animations or multimedia.

A judging panel will assess presentations based on criteria such as content relevance, engagement, and global impact. It offers students an opportunity to enhance their presentation skills and share innovative ideas, with cash prizes for the top three presenters and a People's Choice Award.

The competition is open to all enrolled students for the Fall Semester 2024. Registration is due by November 1, 2024, and slide submissions are due by November 8, 2024. Participants are encouraged to register to celebrate impactful student research.
