The discussion will conclude with Q&A with an opportunity to ask questions about the industry and careers throughout the region.

About the speaker: Mike Volpe is a renewable energy industry expert with over a decade of experience spanning customer origination, project development, and finance. Mike co-founded Open Road Renewables nearly five years ago with the goal of developing least-cost renewable energy in Ohio and across the PJM region. The Open Road has established itself as one of the early leaders in the Ohio solar industry successfully developing the first utility-scale solar project in the Buckeye state.  Mike currently serves as a founding board member of the Utility Scale Solar Energy Coalition of Ohio (USSEC) and is very active in renewable energy policy development in the Midwest, including recently testifying in the Ohio House Economic Recovery Task Force in April.  Mike holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University.
