How did your favorite alumni-owned Athens businesses get up and running - and succeed based in a college town? Get entrepreneurship tips from these Bobcat Neighborhood businesses and learn why they chose Athens, while you reminisce about your favorite shops and spots.

Hosted by the Ohio University Alumni Association and moderated by Paul Benedict, Associate Professor of Instruction and the Director of the Center of Entrepreneurship, the panel will feature the OHIO alumni and owners of these Athens staples!

•  Art Oestrike ('01, '08) of Jackie O’s , an Athens staple that has been producing and distributing craft beer for more than 14 years.
•  Mary Cheadle ('89) of West 10 Clothing and Uptown Dog T-shirts , a 30-year-old, family-owned business.
•  Jessica Kopelwitz ('99) of Fluff Bakery , a restaurant focused on showcasing and supporting local talents through good food.
•  Aaron Thomas ('01) of A-Roc Entertainment and Class A Sounds , a serial entrepreneur with 20 years of experience of bringing music and fun to the region.

Mark your calendars for  Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. EST . Pre-register to receive a confirmation email with the Zoom access link. Please contact Dori Branch at  branchd@ohio.edu  with any questions.
