The Ebony Bobcat Network (EBN) Akron/Canton Affiliate is honored to serve as host of the Ebony Bobcat Network Annual Conference. We welcome all alumni and friends who support the mission of EBN and Ohio University to attend a weekend national conference scheduled for Friday, September 22 - Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Akron, Ohio. 

The conference will promote alumni engagement, celebrate EBN achievements and update attendees on University initiatives, including making plans for 2024 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of John Newton Templeton being the first Black student admitted to Ohio University.

Schedule
The registration fee covers the following activities:

• Friday night : Happy hour and a tour of The LeBron James Family Foundation House 330, a multi-use facility that is built inside of what used to be the iconic Tangier restaurant and entertainment venue 
• Saturday morning : EBN Business Meeting with lunch 
• Saturday evening : EBN Awards Banquet, which will take place at the historic National Football League (NFL) Pro Football Hall of Fame. The evening will include a tour of the facility where we will be able to see up close memorabilia for all of our favorite NFL teams. This is an experience you do not want to miss! 
• Sunday morning : Alumni farewell and prayer at the Courtyard Marriott 

Hotel Accommodations
Our conference venue is the Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown. A discounted room rate is offered for our members who will be staying overnight while attending the conference. EBN members and guests who stay at the Marriott will access a free breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Book your room by 8/23 ! Our special rate is $159 per night plus tax. 

Registration
Special thanks to the Ohio University Alumni Association for sponsoring our Annual Conference. The registration fee is $130, which will help cover some of the expenses related to the events listed above.
