The Ohio Student Alumni Board invites students to attend the Diversity in the Workplace Speaker Series with Destiny Fordham on February 23, 5:30-6:45 pm in Walter Hall 135 and online via Teams.
Fordham earned a B.A., Sociology & Criminology and a Certificate in Law, Justice & Culture ‘16 and an M.A. in Law, Justice & Culture in 2020 from the College of Arts & Sciences.
This event is presented by the Student Alumni Board and Emerging Leaders. Fordham is coming to campus as a part of the Diversity in the Workplace Speaker Series to talk about her experiences at OU and post-graduation and inform students about how diversity makes an impact on the daily lives of workers.
Fordham is an experienced DEI practitioner and educator at the Center for Employment Opportunities. She specializes in Diversity and Inclusion training and facilitation. Fordham has a passion for social justice and advocacy work and believes in the power of authenticity in the workplace. She has partnered with organizations to create and implement DEI-focused training and initiatives that seek to address multi-layered social issues through courageous conversations. In 2019, Fordham was named an Emerging Leader by Bank of America and in March of 2022, she was selected as a TEDx Speaker for TEDxUCincinnati, discussing the importance of inclusion in the workplace. Fordham continues to shape the experiences of individuals in her community through the power of education and storytelling.
