The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment recently released a position statement on use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in teaching and learning. In this workshop, Associate Director for Faculty Programming Jeremy Henkel Ohio University will reintroduce this statement and provide specific scenarios for instructors seeking to ethically use GenAI in their own courses to support student ethical use of GenAI.

The session is designed for and open to all instructors, teaching and teaching support staff, and graduate student instructors.

During and following this session, participants will:

• Review a framework for AI literacy.
• Prepare themselves for assisting students with AI literacy.
• Identify their own positions on ethical use of GenAI in the classroom.
• Determine their responses to several scenarios involving student use of GenAI. 

The session will be delivered synchronously via  Teams  from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 25.
