The Patton College of Education monthly international education series features researchers and practitioners working on global + comparative education issues, and we're thrilled to feature Dr. Natalie Cruz (Charleston Southern University) in our January 27 event focused on the higher education aspirations of international school students worldwide. Natalie Cruz is an assistant professor of education at Charleston Southern University. She earned her PhD in Higher Education from Old Dominion University, where her dissertation used time series regression to conduct a longitudinal policy analysis of academic and economic factors that influenced international student enrollment in the U.S. from 2004 to 2019. She previously held positions in various types of higher education institutions worldwide, including work as a faculty advisor at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates, the Director of International Student Life at Emory University, and the Assistant Principal of Capstone Scholars at the University of South Carolina. Natalie earned an M.S.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina and a BA in Psychology from Clemson University.
