Join Us for an Indian Cooking Tutorial!
Come learn about Indian culture and follow along while we teach you to prepare Pani Puri (Gol Gappa), one of India’s most beloved snack foods!
Co-Hosted by Anisha Mahima and Previn Pandey in conjunction with The Department of Asian Studies, Center for International Studies, and Office of Global Affairs.

Ingredients
6 gol gappa/puri, available at Yamada house on request
1 C fresh mint leaves (or mint paste)
1 C fresh coriander leaves (or coriander powder)
4 fresh green chilies
1-inch ginger
1/3 C tamarind pulp (optional)
Juice of 1 lemon
11⁄2 Tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tsp dry cumin powder
1⁄2 Tsp asafetida powder
4 C water
1 boiled potato, coarsely mashed
1 C cooked chickpeas
Paprika and/or red chili powder (for garnish, optional)
Recommended utensils: potato masher, peeler, & large pot
