Session Description

This workshop will introduce participants to evidence-based wellness strategies that instructors can integrate into their teaching and learning environments to promote the health and well-being of themselves and their students. The strategies covered in this session are applicable to both in-person and remote instruction.

Learning Outcomes

Following this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and integrate ergonomic considerations that provide comfort in the classroom and office.
  • Encourage social support and interaction in and outside of class.
  • Explain and utilize effective stress reduction techniques.
  • Identify sleep needs for adults and teens.
  • Integrate practices in course design and policies to facilitate sleep needs.
