The Center for Teaching, Learning, & Assessment (CTLA), within the  Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost , advances  teaching excellence  across OHIO.

The center,  newly expanded and relaunched in fall 2022 , works with critical partners to provide faculty development, create opportunities for faculty collaboration, grow faculty competencies in assessment, promote the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and Discipline-based Research (DBER), and support policies and procedures related to teaching and learning.

By participating in CTLA programs, colleagues across the University share ideas and expertise with one another, implement evidence-based instructional strategies in a variety of learning contexts and assess the effectiveness of teaching practices. At the heart of such efforts is a core value of transforming students' intellectual growth and skill acquisition, as well as promoting their development as individuals and as engaged citizens.
