Creating Tickets

Description

This article provides the main methods to create tickets in TeamDynamix for technicians.

Solution

There are two methods to create tickets: through the client portal and the technician portal. 

TDClient

You can create tickets through the client portal ( help.ohio.edu ) just like staff, faculty, and students can.

From the Main Page

1. Navigate to help.ohio.edu. 

2. Select  + Create a ticket.

3. Fill out the required fields.

4. Select submit. 

From the Service Catalog 

If your ticket involves a specific service, you can submit your ticket from a specific service catalog page. 

1. Navigate to help.ohio.edu. 

2. In the top menu, select  Services. 

3. Select your desired  service category.

4. Select the serviceyou would like to request.

5. Select the button on the right side of the screen to  request the service.

6. Fill out the ticket form as required.

7. Select the  submit button. 

TDNext

You can create tickets through the technician portal.

  1. Log in to  TDNext  with your OHIO email and password.

  2. Select the  Applications Menu (the green chart icon in the upper left).

  3. Select  Tickets.

  4. Select +Newfrom the menu.

  5. In the drop-down menu, select  Choose a Ticket Form (for incidents) or  Create a New Service Request (for service requests).

  6. In the Form  field, select a formbased on the topic of your ticket. 

  7. Fill out all required and optional fieldsas desired.

  8. Select Saveto submit the ticket.

Outcome:You are now able to create tickets in TeamDynamix.
