This video provides an overview of the findings from Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs economic impact analysis on Marietta College. During the 2017 fiscal year (FY 2017), the university contributed over $33 million to local economies in Washington County, Ohio and Wood County, West Virginia. Marietta College’s direct investments, including university operations, student spending, visitor spending, and construction projects, supported another $21.8 million of output in region’s industries. Overall, the university’s total impact equaled more than $55 million in FY 2017. The video additionally discusses Marietta College’s non-economic impacts, such as talent attraction to the region.
