Technology Available for Checkout
The Center for Technology and Online Programs (CTOP) has equipment available to be checked out by Patton College faculty, staff, and students from the CTOP Front Desk in 225 Patton Hall on a short-term basis from 9:00-6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Items include Elmos, Projectors, Video cameras, Tri-pods, Speakers, and Microphones.

To reserve equipment for your event or meeting, please complete the request formand we will be in touch. Please make requests at least 1-2 weeks in advance. To ensure we are available to meet your needs we need advance time to schedule staff to assist.

Lab Spaces in Patton Hall
Educational Resource Area - 225A Patton Hall
Our center also has a copier and resource work area in 225A where students can use a binder, laminator, paper cutter, and a Cricut machine to create cutouts for displays and projects. The space is open whenever the building is unlocked, but you will need to request laminating sheets and some supplies (markers, paper, scissors, and construction paper) from 9:00-6:00 pm Monday through Friday at the front desk.
Computer Lab - 238 Patton Hall
We offer a computer lab with 15 computers and several printers for students needing access to MACs or PCs to complete project work. The lab has Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office installed as well as Stata, MAXQDA and NVIVO research software. The lab is available upon request at the CTOP front desk between 9:00-6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00-5:30 p.m. Friday, or by special request to faculty on weekends.
Innovative Learning Lab - 240 Patton Hall and Experimental Lab - Patton Hall 226
We offer a lab with statistics software, a gaming center, VR headsets and SmartBoards for teacher education candidates to develop lesson plans. The lab is available upon request at the CTOP front desk between 9:00-6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, or by special request to faculty on weekends.
Our Innovative Learning Lab can be reserved by students and faculty to work on lesson plans, gaming in education and other projects. We also have an experimental lab with an infinity wall that can be reserved for video recording.
Webcast/Podcast Studio
We now also have a webcast studio on the 4th floor of Patton Hall for webinars and podcasting. It is available to all Patton College faculty, staff, and students for free, but can also be reserved by other Ohio University students and the community for a small fee.
