The Russ College of Engineering and Technology is home to students from all over the world who want to learn by doing. Our state-of-the-art facilities allow nearly 1,500 undergraduate and 430 graduate students to engage in hands-on learning in design competitions, research labs and internships and co-ops. Above all, our students learn that what they create today can change society forever.
Research
The Russ College is home to world-class research in avionics engineering, and we strategically target the transportation infrastructure, energy and the environment, and bioengineering fields. Because we believe valuable learning doesn't just take place in the classroom, we provide a breadth of research opportunities to students at every level.

$120M endowment by the Russ family
The college was renamed in 1994 to honor devoted alumni Fritz J. Russ and his wife, Dolores H. Russ, who bequeathed the gift to the college.
