Greenhouse Gases Inventory

Ohio was ranked four in United States based on estimates of CO 2 emissions from fossil fuel consumption within the states. The bulk of Ohio CO 2 emissions are contributed by coal fired power plants, manufacturing industries and transport. As a part of Ohio University and Ohio State University collaboration, the Center of Air Quality developed a detailed inventory for greenhouse gases emissions from Ohio. Ohio Department of Development funded the project to understand the risks and opportunities in a carbon-constrained world with new regulations for climate change policies. A web-based GIS tool and detailed report is provided on www.ohioenergyresources.com .
