Stay on Campus: Make It a True Bobcat Getaway
There’s no better way to immerse yourself in the Back on the Bricks experience than by staying right on campus. Choose to stay in a modern suite-style residence hall—just steps away from many weekend events. Each suite includes two private rooms joined by a shared bathroom, making it perfect for solo guests or roommates looking to relive the residence hall experience with extra comfort.
Staying on campus means more time to reconnect, explore, and enjoy every moment without having to travel back and forth. Whether you’re up early for golf, enjoying all that Brew Week has to offer, winding down from the reception at Jackie O’s, or just enjoying the walkable charm of Athens, your home base will be right where the action is.

Back on the Bricks is all about celebrating your time at OHIO your way. During registration you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your experience with a variety of optional activities that let you reconnect, explore, and have fun at your own pace. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or a walk down memory lane, there’s something for everyone.
Build a weekend that’s as active or laid-back as you like. Mingle with fellow alumni at a local favorite, play a round of golf, or revisit your favorite campus spots on a guided tour. Every activity is designed to help you reconnect with your Bobcat roots and create meaningful new memories.

Jackie O's BrewPub Reception with OUAA
Friday, July 18 | 4-6 p.m. | Jackie O’s Brewpub
Join us for a lively evening at Jackie O’s Brewpub, hosted by the Ohio University Alumni Association! This reception is the perfect chance to reconnect, reminisce, and relax with fellow Bobcats in one of Athens’ most iconic spots. Your registration includes tasty appetizers, drink tickets, and some exclusive OHIO swag—because no Bobcat gathering is complete without a little green and white pride. Cheers to good friends, great memories, and a night to remember!
This event is $30 per person and there is a limit of 50 available spaces for the event.
Copperheads Game
Friday, July 18 | 7:05 p.m. | Bob Wren Stadium
Spend your Friday night under the lights cheering on the hometown team, the Southern Ohio Copperheads versus the Michigan Monarchs! Grab a seat, a hot dog, and soak up the summer vibes at this fun, family-friendly game right here in Athens. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of activities, reconnect with fellow Bobcats, and root-root-root for the home team!
This event is free and there is a limit of 50 available tickets for the event.
Saturday, July 19
Round of Golf
Saturday, July 19 | 7–9 a.m. | Golf & Tennis Center
Whether you're chasing birdies or just hoping to avoid the dreaded double bogey, join us for a round at the scenic on-campus Golf and Tennis Center! Choose your challenge (both options include golf cart rental—just bring your own clubs!):
- 9 holes for $35
- 18 holes for $45
Grab your favorite foursome or fly solo and enjoy some quality time on the fairways. It’s the perfect way to work on your short game, sink a few putts, and maybe even brag a little at the 19th hole. Once registration closes, all participants will receive a follow-up email with event details, including your assigned tee time. See you on the green!
Pickleball Open Play
Saturday, July 19 | 12–2 p.m. | Golf & Tennis Center
Calling all picklers! Join us for open play pickleball at the Golf and Tennis Center—where the kitchen’s always hot and the dinks are deadly. For just $15 per person, you’ll get access to the courts for some fun friendly matches. We’ll have a few paddles and balls available, but players are encouraged to bring their own gear. Whether you’re dropping shots in the kitchen or smashing overheads, it’s the perfect chance to rally with fellow fans of the fastest-growing sport around!
There is not a rain site for pickleball or golf, so in the event of inclement weather this event would be cancelled.
Campus Tour
Saturday, July 19 | 3–5 p.m. | Starts at Living Learning Center
Take a guided stroll through campus and relive your Bobcat days! We’ll swing by your old residence hall (or where it once stood!), check out McDavis Hall—a brand-new 591-bed residence hall currently under construction and set to open in August 2026—and explore fresh additions like Paw Print Park on South Green, The East End on East Green, The Den on West Green, and more. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and new beginnings, and a great way to reconnect with your old home.
Sunday, July 20
Brunch
Sunday, July 20 | 11 a.m.–2 p.m. | Nelson Commons Dining Hall
Wrap up your weekend with a relaxed and delicious Sunday brunch! Join fellow Bobcats for one last gathering filled with great food, good company, and plenty of memories. It’s the perfect way to say “see you later” before heading home—complete with comfort food, coffee, and a final round of Bobcat bonding. Don’t miss this laid-back send-off to an unforgettable weekend!
Costs & Registration Details
Ready to plan your perfect Bobcat weekend? Below you'll find a full breakdown of costs for housing, parking, and all optional activities. You can mix and match to create the experience that fits your interests and schedule. Some events have limited capacity, so we encourage early registration to secure your spot. All selections and payments will be made through the registration link.
Housing
Rate is per room, regardless of single or double occupancy. You can request adjoining rooms and must list all guests staying per room on the registration page.
- July 17: $60 per room
- July 18: $110 per room
- July 19: $110 per room
- July 20: $60 per room
Check in Thursday, July 17 through Saturday, July 19 will be 3-6 p.m. Check out on Sunday, July 20 or Monday, July 21 will be from 12-2 p.m.

Please indicate how many permits you need during registration.

- July 21: $5 (if staying past 7:30 a.m.)
