Academic Achievement Center

We’re committed to helping you succeed!

We know that all Bobcats need to feel supported as students and individuals. The Academic Achievement Center (AAC) assists you in achieving your academic goals by providing free in-person and online tutoring, writing assistance, and Peer Assisted Learning (PAL). Our goal is to empower you to be an independent and successful learner as you work toward your degree.

Our services are delivered by fellow students who excel in their studies and want you to perform at your best. From tutoring to reinforcing good study habits, we help you develop the skills and mindset needed to succeed in your coursework. Studies show that students who take advantage of academic assistance tend to perform better in their classes and retain more information.

The students who serve as tutors and PAL Leaders are experts in their fields and trained following the College Reading and Learning Association guidelines on ethical standards and best practices. They’re eager to share their knowledge and proven techniques to help you get the most out of your Ohio University education.

  • Scheduling an Appointment

You can schedule tutoring via TracCloud . Be sure to note the location of your scheduled appointment.

If you need help scheduling an appointment or have a question about our services, please call us at 740.593.2644 or email us at tutoring@ohio.edu .If you book an online appointment, your tutor will send you an email that includes a link to your tutoring appointment, which will be a Microsoft Teams meeting. Teams allows you and your tutor to talk, use chat, share documents and work together on a virtual whiteboard.

Although we make every effort to fulfill a student’s tutoring request, there is no guarantee a tutor will be available for a particular course, especially around midterms and finals. Arranging a tutor depends on the number of qualified tutors and schedule compatibility.
