Dr. Shaohua Wang, Principal Investigator. Dr. Wang has amounts of experience in genetic engineering, she ever developed the first efficient genetic engineering platform for C. difficile with CRISPR-Cas9 system. Dr. Wang is also an export in probiotics and phages studies, and has experience with gut microbiota studies with various mice models including C. difficile infection (CDI), anti-ageing, obesity, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease. With these techniques, Dr. Wang with other lab members will devote to decode pathogenesis under CDI and develop novel therapeutic strategies against CDI, and other gut microbiota related diseases.
