has its very own Bloomberg Terminal in Lasher Learning Center, on the first floor of Schoonover Center
. Formally known as the Bloomberg Professional Service
, this is a valuable piece of equipment for the finance industry, with annual subscriptions running well north of $20,000. But it’s also a pretty impressive newsgathering machine for those who can leverage its data and news sources.
Scripps is one of an elite number of journalism programs to have access to a Terminal. They’re more frequently found in business schools; Ohio University also has Terminal access through a trading center in Copeland Hall
and in the Division of University Advancement
, which manages the university’s $714 million endowment.
