The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) provides rules for determining a secondary school student’s eligibility to participate in school-sponsored athletics. To be eligible, students must be passing five, one credit courses or the equivalent per grading period with the high school and college courses combined. Most College Credit Plus courses taken during a semester will equal one Carnegie unit, allowing students to earn more than the required five for athletic eligibility. Additional information for guidance counselors and secondary school administrators can be found on the Ohio Department of Higher Education webpage.
Ohio University has created the Mid-Term Grade Form to assist students in obtaining their 9-week grades from faculty. Please note, faculty members are not required to submit 9-week grades.
