Each year, the Ohio University Music Industry Summit features an exclusive gathering of prominent artists and music industry leaders for informative panels and compelling interviews, as well as networking and learning opportunities for registrants.

This panel discussion will explore how artists are using the power of data to find and engage fans. This session will explore how data-driven strategies can help artists to identify and connect with their audiences, grow their fan base, and create more meaningful and lasting relationships with their fans.

1:15-2:05 p.m. • Pioneering Hip Hop's Biggest Festival: The Story of Rolling Loud

A conversation with Tariq Cherif, co-founder and CEO of Rolling Loud, the world's largest hip-hop festival, hosted by  LJ Malberg , CEO of CoMuse

In this session,  Tariq Cherif  will share insights into his journey as a fan-turned-promoter and how he and his lifelong friend, Matt Zingler, built Rolling Loud into the massive global phenomenon it is today. With festivals in multiple countries and a reputation for being at the forefront of hip-hop culture, this session will offer crucial insights into music entrepreneurship,, event production, and the art of creating unforgettable experiences for fans and artists alike.

3:15-4:30 p.m. • Artist Keynote Session: mxmtoon, i n conversation with Chris DeVille, Head Editor of Stereogum

Our closing artist keynote session will feature rising indie pop sensation  mxmtoon , in conversation with  Chris Deville , Managing Editor of Stereogum. mxmtoon's music has captured audiences with her personal storytelling and emotionally rich lyrics, and her latest album, "Rising," is no exception. In this interview, mxmtoon will discuss the creation of her latest album, her meteoric rise through social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, and her experiences in the music industry as an emerging artist. mxmtoon will also perform the closing night concert at 8:00 p.m.  FULL BIO
