A&S Overload, Summer, and Intersession Teaching Policy

Overload and intersession teaching should not be requested when course reductions have been granted during the same academic year.

1. During the academic year, full-time faculty, including chairs, are limited to one course overload per semester (or distance learning equivalent) at any off-campus location (the regional campuses).
2. During the summer, continuing chairs are limited to one course on and off campus.
3. During the intersession, full-time faculty (including chairs) are limited to one course on and off campus.

Exceptions to the aforementioned policies may be made only upon approval of a written request to the Dean.
