Where Nutrition, Education and Food Combine
About the Facility
Located in Grover Center, the Atrium Café is an independent eatery supported by the College of Health Sciences and Professions. With an emphasis on health and sustainability, the Atrium Café is a focal point for the Department of Food and Nutrition . Meals are produced daily and feature the talents of OHIO nutrition students.
Our nutrition students complete a required food service operation rotation that qualifies them to sit for their national exam. This learning laboratory provides our students with hands-on experience with contemporary food service management, cuisine development, and food and wellness. The café gives students the opportunity to develop both intuitive and strategic thinking skills needed to be successful in today's demanding and ever-changing food environment.
