New Features

• 2024-2025 Academic Calendar integration:The upcoming Academic Calendar for 2024-2025 was added to the Menu for each campus experience. The new calendar is now available in the Academic Resources module under Advising Resources for Athens Campus Students, Regional Campus Students, and OHIO Online Undergraduate students. For the Guest experience, the calendar is on the Home Screen.

Bug Fixes

• Resolved Class Section defect:This work resolved a defect where the class section was missing from the My Enrollment screen.

New Features

• Graduate Student and International Student Resources:In the Athens Campus Persona, users can now access pages for Graduate Student Resources and International Student Resources via the Graduate Student Resources option in the Menu and within the Academic Resources module located under University Libraries.

Improvements

• Regional Persona Selector:To improve user experience, the language on the Regional Persona Selector screen in Go OHIO was changed from "Go back to the previous screen" to "Select a different app experience," providing clearer instructions on switching experiences. “Select a different app experience” language is now consistent throughout the app.
• Athens Campus maps' Building Directory link style:The Maps module in the Athens Campus maps' Building Directory was updated to open within the app using the device's embedded web browser, enhancing the user experience. This allows the user to interact with the building directory in an embedded browser which resolves the issue of the screen closing.

New features

• OHIO Online Graduate Experience: Launched the OHIO Online Graduate Persona which includes a home screen, Student Dashboard, and Menu with content tailored to OHIO Online Graduate Students.

Bug fixes

• Class Notes:Resolved an issue in iOS; course subject's catalog number and section displayed as hyperlink and when selected, users prompted to place a phone call to the numbers.

Bug fixes

• Name Display:Resolved an issue where students’ legal names were displayed rather than their preferred name
• Class Schedule:Updated language for asynchronous classes to “no meeting specified” to match language in MyOHIO Student Center
• Financial Aid:Updated breadcrumb error on the accept/decline screen to improve navigation

Improvements

• Class Schedule:Added beginning and end dates to the enrollment screen and displayed “no meeting specified” courses on both the weekly and daily schedules
• Financial Aid:The option to select accept or decline awards is now hidden for students who already declined awards or did not receive any

• Advisor Preferred Name:Updated advisor display to include advisor’s preferred names, to match My OHIO Student Center and DARS

New Features

• Campus experiences:Users can now select a tailored campus experience for Athens, regional campuses, or OHIO Online, all with undergraduate students as the primary audience. Users can switch between experiences at any time using the updated experience selector screen.
• Canvas information:Link to Canvas Phase 1 information added to the home screen. Students enrolled in a phase 1 course can opt into Canvas communications through Go OHIO.
• Athens events opt-in channel:Students using the Athens campus experience can opt in to receive notifications about events on the Athens campus.

Bug fixes

• Maps:Class locations on regional campuses now link to appropriate maps.
• TripShot:Link to TripShot routes to the TripShot app instead of the app store once installed.

Improvements

• Bobcat Cash:Regional campus students will see their Bobcat Cash balance listed on the student dashboard without meal plan information. 

Bug fixes

• Maps in iOS:Searching the Athens campus map now produces predictive text instead of a blank screen.
• Catmail:Catmail now opens consistently inside the Go OHIO app, with the option to open in an external browser.
• Accounts:The link to “student account itemization” is now fully displayed on the student dashboard without requiring scrolling.

Improvements

• Academic Calendar:A link to the academic calendar now appears in the Academics module as well as in the menu. 

New features

• Notifications: Launched communication pilot to send select financial aid notifications

Bug fixes

• Student Name:Student names with special characters such as a quotation mark now display correctly

Improvements

• Dining:Updated menu to highlight OHIO EATS mobile ordering app, locations and hours, and meal plan and Bobcat Cash information
• Academic Resources:Updated academic resources module to allow students to collapse each section
• Appearance:Created consistent styling across pages

Bug fixes

• Student Dashboard:Altered cache settings on student dashboard to refresh information on the Student Dashboard every 15 minutes to improve performance
• Bug fix to meet Google Play's API requirements

• Maps:Increased default zoom and reduced the number of pins displayed to improve user experience         
• Transit:Replaced DoubleMap with Tripshot live bus tracking for campus busses and shuttles due to a new vendor contract
• Blackboard: Modified link to open in the device’s default web browser to improve user experience
• Athletics:Provided access to OHIO Bobcats Gameday App so that guest users can add their event tickets to Apple Wallet

• Academic Resources:Added Academic Coaching language to Course Support resources
• Desktop App:Added message to provide web users with links to download the mobile app

• Integration with PeopleSoft (My OHIO Student Center) to display personalized student data (requires student login): name, college, majors, minors, certificates, class schedule, student account balance, make a payment, view financial aid offers and accept/decline awards, holds, to do items, accumulative GPA, final grades by term, enrollment appointments, and advisors.
• Integration with eAccounts/Transact to display account balances (requires login): Meal Plan, Meal Plan balance (swipes), Flex Points balance, and Bobcat Cash balance.
• System Access: Blackboard, Bobcat Connect, Calendar of University Events, Catmail, Course Offerings, DARS, eAccounts, eRezlife, Faculty Staff Directory, Handshake, Housing Self-Service, My OHIO Student Center, Ohio Bobcats Gameday App, OHIO Eats App, OneDrive, Starfish (MOSN), Student Jobs, Teams, and TracCloud.
