Congratulations on graduating from OHIO! As an alumnus, you are encouraged to stay connected to your former university and your fellow graduates. It is customary that alumni support and continue to serve their institution and its current students. Being engaged as an alumnus has many benefits, but one of largest is the continued connection to a diverse and successful professional and social network of other alumni.
Alumni Reporting
-
Former J-1 Student Academic Training Reporting
While pursuing Academic Training (AT), you remain in J-1 status, and Ohio University continues to maintain your SEVIS record. Because of this, certain J-1 reporting requirements must continue to be met.
-
Former F-1 Student OPT Reporting
While pursuing OPT, you remain on the F-1 visa record from Ohio University. There are several reporting requirements built into the F-1 regulations that you must follow.
-
Transfer Your SEVIS Record
If you plan to enroll at another university after leaving OHIO, you can follow the steps outlined in the Transferring Your SEVIS Record section of the admitted transfer student page. Rather than providing info to OHIO (as indicated in the steps), you will need to provide it to your new institution.
