Dear University Community:
We are pleased to announce additional information about Ohio University’s new partnership with OhioHealth
, which provides access to expanded services for students and employees during the pandemic.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020, OhioHealth will make available the Ohio University COVID-19 Response Hotline, 877-OU-COV19 (877-682-6819),which can be accessed seven days per week by Ohio University students and employees that are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- For Students: The COVID-19 Hotline is a first stop for all current students on all campuses to ask COVID-related questions, to be connected to further resources, including potential testing at an OhioHealth testing site or guidance to alternative testing sites, and to submit reports of positive COVID-19 tests. Students can use the hotline to access treatment and management of your individualized needs through expanded student health services. If a COVID test is needed, the Ohio University COVID-19 Response Hotline will work with a provider to place the order. It is important to note that a provider’s order is required for COVID-19 testing.
- For Employees: The COVID-19 Hotline is a first stop for all current employees on all campuses to ask COVID-related questions, to be connected to further resources including potential testing at an OhioHealth testing site or guidance to alternative testing sites, and to submit reports of positive COVID-19 tests. Employees can also receive return to work assistance and management in accordance with COVID-specific University protocols. If a COVID test is needed, the Ohio University COVID-19 Response Hotline will work with a provider to place the order. It is important to note that a provider’s order is required for COVID-19 testing.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 across our campus communities, Ohio University has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 Incident Report
form for students and employees that centralizes the reporting of COVID-19 illness or exposure.
