Ohio University employees now have the opportunity to work at The Ridges ’ new flexspace.
Part of the Flexible Workplace Project , OHIO has implemented work stations across the University, including in The Ridges Buildings 13, 14, and 18, that allows employees to choose where they work from based on their needs and preferences and when. Over 50 workstations are now available in The Ridges for employees and are redefining what the workplace looks like.
In the first video in a series highlighting the advantages of this new flexspace, Senior Planner at OHIO Miranda Kridler walks employees through the different types of spaces available at The Ridges, including private workstations, semi-private workstations, both big and small collaboration rooms, open work configurations, as well as conference rooms with technology to host hybrid meetings.
All workstations have updated technology, including double or wide-screen monitors in individual workstations, and webcams and microphones in collaboration spaces to enable hybrid meetings. There are also flexspace locations that include amenity facilities such as restrooms, kitchenettes, lactation rooms, printers, and office supplies.
Employees interested in using the flexspace work stations can reserve a space in advance using the online reservation system, or drop in with their laptop and connect to an available station. A more robust reservation system is planned for spring semester.
