On April 6, OHIO Regional Higher Education will be bringing over 80 employers to regional campus students and alumni – and they all can be accessed from the comfort of home.
Eric Brown, regional campus career and leadership coach, has assembled a variety of employers from a wide range of industries and sectors to talk with students and alumni about their interests and qualifications.
“The virtual career fair is not just an event; it's a portal that opens the doors of opportunity to students and alumni,” said Brown. The event will take place on Handshake. According to their website, this app allows users to get personalized job recommendations, meet with employers to learn more about company culture and open roles and apply for positions in as few as two clicks.
The career fair will take place on Thursday, April 6, from 1 – 3 p.m. and is open to students and alumni from all regional campuses, including Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern and Zanesville. As for the employers that will be on hand to discuss potential careers with students, they range from BMW to Cleveland Browns to local school districts.
Brown said the event will be a valuable experience for participants. “It's a place where curiosity meets innovation, ambition meets reality and talent meets its match. Whether you're just starting out or looking to make a change, attending this fair can ignite the spark of possibility and pave the way for a successful career journey.”
