The Division of Student Affairs is thrilled to announce the 41st Annual Leadership Awards event , a celebration honoring the remarkable leadership and community service exhibited by students and student organizations throughout Ohio University. This year's event will take place this spring and is organized in collaboration with the Division of Diversity and Inclusion.
Scheduled for April 17 in the Baker University Center Ballroom, the event will recognize over two dozen awards and scholarships bestowed upon deserving students and student organizations for their dedication and contributions to the OHIO community. The selection process was highly competitive, with hundreds of applications received for consideration.
Awards are distributed across four distinct categories: Diversity and Allyship , Outstanding Leadership , Service , and Student Organizations . There are multiple awards and scholarships in each category, reflecting all the ways students and organizations have demonstrated exceptional commitment during the 2023-24 academic year.
Established in 1984, the Annual Leadership Awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional leaders within OHIO. The event has grown over the years as new awards and scholarships have been established to those who have made an impact on the University community as well as the student leaders that follow in their path.
The event is set to commence at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, with refreshments provided before the ceremony begins at 7 p.m. All members of the OHIO community, friends and family members are welcome to attend. Guests can also tune in virtually if they are unable to make it in person.
