All students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the Ohio University Faculty Recognition and Awards Ceremony in the Walter Hall Rotunda on Wednesday, May 1.
During the ceremony, the University will honor faculty members who have received awards for teaching, research or other significant contributions to Ohio University in the last year. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. with the formal ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Several of the award winners will be announced for the first time during the evening, while a few were announced earlier in the academic year. The awards to be presented include:
- Top Faculty Newsmakers
- Presidential Research Scholars
- Chairs and Directors Emerging Leadership Award
- Mid-American Conference Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success
- Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching
- Rising Star Teacher Award
- University Professor Award
- Presidential Teacher Award
In addition, faculty development program leaders will be recognized. All members of the University community are encouraged to attend to celebrate these faculty award recipients.
