Bob Paxton announced as new Emerging Leaders co-director

The Walter Center for Strategic Leadership is excited to announce that Bob Paxton has joined the leadership team as the co-director of Emerging Leaders this semester, partnering with Tom Marchese.

An Ohio University graduate, Paxton holds a BBA in Human Resource Management and an MBA from the University of Houston. His extensive leadership experience spans significant companies like BP, Broadwind Energy, Whirlpool Corporation, Owens Corning and Masonite, where he held high-level executive roles.

Paxton’s impressive background includes participation in numerous executive development programs, earning multiple certifications, and publishing influential works. His involvement with Ohio University goes beyond his professional achievements—he has served on the College of Business Executive Advisory Board, the Management Systems Advisory Board, and as a distance learning case study advisor, further strengthening his deep connection to the university.

The Emerging Leaders program is a one-year accelerated development program that is specifically designed to empower incoming juniors to unlock their leadership potential.

As an executive in residence at the College of Business, Paxton teaches management in the Integrated Business Cluster. Now, with his role in the E merging Leaders Program , he brings a fresh perspective and wealth of experience to the program. The Walter Center faculty and staff are eager to see how his leadership, expertise and industry connections will elevate the program to benefit students and the broader Ohio University community.

Paxton’s office is conveniently located in the Walter Center wing on the fourth floor of Copeland Hall. OHIO students, faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by, connect and tap into his wealth of knowledge.
