Ohio University's Fitness program is located in Ping Recreation Center and is available to university students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members who are Ping Recreation Center members. University Well-Being & Recreation's Fitness program provides group fitness & F45 classes, personal training, a variety of Fitness Programs and special events! 

These services and programs are specifically designed to help you develop your sense of Purpose, enhance your capacity for Resilience, help you build lasting Relationships and assist you in Achieving your goals. Participating in fitness programming with University Well-Being & Recreation will provide you dynamic outlets to BE ACTIVE, BE CONNECTED, and BE YOURSELF.Get involved today!

Women & Weights

A Semester long community building weight lifting program for women! The program is designed to create a positive & safe space for women to work out, train together, and work toward achieving their personal fitness goals! Registration opens January 16!

Learn to Lift

A 6-week program that aims to teach participants how to safely utilize the weight room equipment in Ping and proper lifting technique when it comes to strength training. Registration opens January 16!

F45 Playoffs

Test your fitness with fellow F45'ers in Well-Being & Recreation's first ever F45 Games competition! This 45-minute competition will be a TEAM based, REP based event. Teams of two (pairs) will compete in a cardio-based workout trying to max out on the most amount of REPS all together. Each member will complete one lap with a coach tracking along the way. After 3 laps, all REPS from each member will be totaled together and the team with the MOST cumulative number of REPS will WIN! Registration will open on January 23rd and closes at 8pm on February 23rd.

Dogs + Yoga = DOGA! 

This Yoga class will be featuring a surprise guest...DOGS! Relax from your week with some yoga while playing with therapeutic dogs! There will be 3 classes held on March 6tg starting at 5pm, 5:20pm, and 5:40pm!  Registration for this event opens 23 hours in advance of each of the scheduled start times!

Cycle + Yoga = Spinyasa!

This 60-minute class of cycling and yoga will have you working up a sweat! Spinyasa is a fusion-fitness class that includes 30 minutes of cycling folllowed by 30 minutes of vinyasa yoga. Start off the class with a cardiovascular workout followed by poses and stretches to restore the body! Registration opens 23 hours before each class!
