Ray Dixson is the Assistant Director for the Brigadier General James M. Abraham & Colonel Arlene F. Greenfield Veterans and Military Student Services Center. He is a Navy Veteran who served 4 years from 1991-1995 as an Aviation Electrician's Mate, Petty Officer Third Class. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida and a Master of Sport Administration degree from OHIO University. His primary duties include: educating/counseling veterans and military-affiliated students on the use of their VA education benefits and assisting with the implementation of programs that raise awareness of veteran students on campus (Athens), and at our regional campuses and those studying remote. His personal interests include: golf, maintaining his family's 6-7 acres of land, farming chickens, watching college and NFL football games, and spending time with this family.
