Shared Leadership-a leadership style that broadly distributes leadership responsibility, such that people within a team and organization lead each other. Democratic Leadership-involves the redistribution of power and authority between employees and managers to provide employee involvement in decision making. Distributive Leadership-conceptual and analytical approach to understanding how the work of leadership takes place among the people and in context of a complex complicated organization. -Shared/Democratic/Distributive forms of leadership all rely on decision making by a team, or related group, of people o Identify when you might be served and not served to use this form of leadership. -When you need a more natural system, such as principals and teachers, or between teachers & student leaders. As Mary Parker Follett said: “The most essential work of the leader is to create more leaders.” In doing this you will promote job satisfaction, and morale. It gives the feeling of ownership and autonomy.
