Identify a definition of shared/democratic/distributive form of leadership: Distribution of leadership (opposite of micromanager) distributed among exerts where stakeholders have a platform to share their expertise. This class would be an example of this specific form of leadership because Dr. Larson guides us, but simultaneously scaffolding us to shared/democratic/distributive form of leadership. *Shared Leadership**-*a leadership style that broadly distributes leadership responsibility, such that people within a team and organization lead each other. *Democratic Leadership*-involves the redistribution of power and authority between employees and managers to provide employee involvement in decision making. *Distributive Leadership*-conceptual and analytical approach to understanding how the work of leadership takes place among the people and in context of a complex complicated organization. · Identify when you might be served and not served to use this form of leadership. *NOT well served:* If your workers or subordinates were novice/inexperienced in what they are supposed to be accomplishing, because they are going to need more guidance and support. *Well served:* If you have a team of experts and familiar with the work in hand then it would be more effective to tell them what to do and “let them surprise you with their results.” In summary, if you are leading experts you are more able to share the leadership responsibilities and feel confident in the outcome. -- *Amanda Luttrell* *Zahn's Corner Middle School* *Sixth Grade Language Arts* -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
