Karen Corcoran, a graduate of The Ohio State University, taught Middle School and High School Family and Consumer Sciences in both Urban and Rural schools. She was proficient at developing young leaders advising several clubs and organizations resulting in many opportunities for her students to become leaders at the local, district and state levels.
Armed with a Master’s Degree in Brain-Based Learning, Karen Corcoran has become a valuable faculty member at the college level, working with teacher candidates at the University of Rio Grande, Ohio University and Ohio University Chillicothe.
Corcoran serves as Regional Coordinator of Professional Internships in Teaching for the Patton College of Education and Program Coordinator of Middle Childhood Education at OHIO Chillicothe. Her community service includes Rotary, St. Mary’s Family Life Committee, Ohio 4-H Foundation, Ross Ohio State Alumni Club, and Gallia Vinton Education Service Center Advisory Board.
