Athens City School District has one afterschool program that serves 40+ students in 4th – 6th grades at The Plains Intermediate School. During the program students receive a nutritious snack and free time to transition from the school day to the afterschool program. Students also participate in intervention in both reading and math, hands on enrichment activities, and are assisted with homework.
This program is supported by a Nina M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center grant awarded by the Ohio Department of Education.
