Melissa Damico is one of the Founders of the Grey Green Alliance, an applied research collaboration between Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service and the Ohio State University’s College of Social Work dedicated to increasing the resilience of older adults to the impacts of climate change. She is an Honors Tutorial College Environmental Studies student and is continuing her research related to increasing the resilience of older adults as a Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholar. Her research on climate change and aging started in Columbus, Ohio, expanded to Athens. She is now looking at international Age-Friendly Communities that are considering sustainability in a future impacted by climate change. 

Laura Davis is a Master of Public Administration candidate with research interests in community building, food insecurity and economic development. She completed her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University in 2018 and served in Nepal through the Peace Corps. Laura currently works as a graduate assistant for the Center of Economic Development and Community Resilience. As an Appalachian native, she loves having the opportunity to serve those with similar values and upbringings. 

Domoina Rakotoson is a Master of Science in Environmental Studies candidate whose current graduate work explores the human element as a determinant of the effectiveness of management of protected areas. She has ten years of professional experience in capacity development and protected areas management in her home country, Madagascar, and in Africa. Domoina studied geography in her undergraduate training and is passionate about anti-corruption activism.
