This collection spans the dates 1965-2010. It documents the tenure of Alan Geiger as Assistant to the President and University Planner.

The Charles J. Ping speeches contains speech transcripts, letters requesting Ping's presence, notes thanking him for his appearances, note cards he used when speaking, final copies of his speeches, and notes made on drafts of speeches. The collection spans from 1975 to 1997. It contains speeches made during Ping's tenure as president of Ohio University and speeches made after his retirement.

The William Henry Scott (WHS) Baccalaureate Sermons span from 1874 to 1882 and contain sermons composed by WHS for commencement ceremonies.
