The bottom middle edge is damaged and obscures some writing.

Scope and Contents Benjamin Stanton's handwritten letter to his daughter Mary Stanton is written while he was attending a convention in Columbus, Ohio. Mary and Caroline (sister?) seem to be on vacation in Granville, Ohio. They might be staying with a Mr. Bush. In the letter, Stanton is checking up on Mary and is disappointed that she has spent all her money, informing her that he has set up an account for her. Reverend Thomas White of Seneca (New York?) letter to Reverend Samuel Crothers of Greenfield, Highland County, Ohio. White gives an account of his situation since last seeing Crothers. The letter is in poor condition with sections from the folds and edges missing. Encapsulated. Included is a letter from the Ohio University library director (Walter Wright) to the donor (Ted Langstroth) dated June 2, 1967.
