This panel focuses on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to support student learning in courses as personalized learning support, as instructional strategy in assignments or assessments, or as course content (teaching ethical use of GenAI or GenAI applications in a discipline, for example).

The session is designed for and open to all instructors, teaching and teaching support staff, and graduate student instructors.

During and following the session, participants will:

  • Consider the value of GenAI to teaching and learning generally.
  • Articulate three methods or approaches to integrating GenAI in courses.
  • Review examples of GenAI course enhancements or enrichments.
  • Consider how these enhancements or enrichments might be applied in their own courses.

Panelists include:

  • Provost Elizabeth Sayrs
  • Assistant Professor and CTLA AI Faculty Fellow Paul Shovlin
  • Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Executive Director Melinda Rhodes-DiSalvo

The session will be delivered synchronously via  Teams  from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 18. It is part of a CTLA GenAI and Teaching and Learning summer panel and workshop series that is integrated into the Summer 2024 AI-enhanced Course Redesign Institute pilot.  REGISTER HERE:  https://givepul.se/izvk9c
