The Qubit Fluorometer uses a fluorescence-based technique to quantitate nucleic acids and proteins. The Qubit is much more sensitive than standard UV absorbance-based quantitation methods for when you need highly accurate quantitation (e.g. NGS, absolute quantification RT-PCR, Plasmidsaurus) and uses as little as a single microliter of sample.
Assay Type and Quantification Range
- dsDNA Broad Range (BR) | 2 – 1,000 ng
- dsDNA High Sensitivity (HS) | 0.2 – 100 ng
- ssDNA | 1 – 200 ng
- RNA Broad Range (BR) | 20 – 1,000 ng
- RNA High Sensitivity (HS) | 5 – 100 ng
- microRNA | 0.5 – 100 ng
- Protein | 0.25 – 25 mg
Samples for Qubit analysis may be dropped off anytime in the freezer outside Porter 510. The minimum volume to be submitted for all assays is 1 µL.
