Today, we are elated to share that our Presidential Search Committee has identified three experienced, highly qualified presidential candidate finalists, each of whom will soon visit our Athens campus and engage in a wide range of settings with our students, faculty, staff, alumni, University leadership and others across the OHIO community.
The Ohio University community will have the opportunity to further engage in the search for OHIO’s 23rd president by meeting candidate finalists during multiple open forums tentatively scheduled for early March on OHIO’s Athens Campus.To date, presidential candidate finalists have not been determined; however, the University plans to share a search update soon.
Ohio University President Dr. Hugh Sherman has named Dr. Lyn Redington as the University’s vice president for student affairs.
Consultants from the USC Race and Equity Center, a nationally-recognized organization for its work in diversity, equity and inclusion, will be visiting Ohio University between February 22-24 to host multiple hybrid feedback and listening sessions with students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members.
Honorary Degrees are awarded annually to individuals who have achieved distinction in scholarship, creative activities, professional pursuits, business, government, civic affairs, or particularly in service to Ohio University.
