Fundamentals of Atomic and Molecular Quantum Mechanics

a) Electron spin, addition of angular momenta, atomic and molecular term symbols.
b) Beyond single-particle problems: Perturbation theory and Variation principle, Hartree-Fock theory.
c) Electron correlation methods: Configuration Interaction (CI), Coupled Electron Pair Approximations (CEPA), Coupled-Cluster Theory (CCT).
d) Concept of chemical bonding from the perspective of quantum mechanics.
e) Strong electron correlation and the multi-configurational SCF (MCSCF) method.
