  • Have a cumulative unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.00.

Letter of Intent

The student or the student’s parent must inform the student's school district by April 1 of the student’s intent to participate in the program during the following school year. Any student who fails to provide the notification by the required date may not participate in the program during the following school year without the written consent of the school district's superintendent. Letter of intent forms can be downloaded from Ohio Department of Higher Education .

Nonpublic and Home-Schooled Students

Ohio University welcomes applications from nonpublic and home-schooled students. Students attending a private high school or who are home schooled must submit a notice to the Ohio Department of Higher Education to declare their intent to participate and to the Department of Education to receive funding to underwrite their costs. Letter of intent forms can be found at Ohio Department of Higher Education .

The Ohio Department of Education has created an informational webpage for home-schooled students. The webpage contains an FAQ, the letter of intent form, and details on how to apply for funding.

Out-of-State, International and Non-U.S. Citizen Students

Per Ohio Revised Code, students must be a resident of the State of Ohio in order to patriciate in Option B of the CC+ program. Ohio University uses the definition of resident for tuition proposes (OAC 333-1-10) to determine whether a student is an Ohio resident. Students with an immigration status can be considered for the CC+ program. Students who are considered a permanent resident should have their CC+ application reviewed like a domestic Ohio resident student. These students can be considered for Option B, and unless there is conflicting information regarding residency/immigration status, no additional information need to be requested to process  these applications. Regardless of term, non-resident students should be admitted as Option A (ND9955) only.
