Superintendent Leadership and Licensure Certificate (online)

Program Code: CTSLLG (Online)

Overview

The graduate-level Superintendent Leadership and Licensure Certificate online program is designed for administrators (typically principals or administrative specialists) seeking to be superintendents or district-level leaders. The two-semester program is a cohort model with courses delivered in an online format approximately one Saturday per month for one academic year. The program requires 16 credits.

Each semester, students take two core content courses (3 credits each) and one internship course (2 credits). The courses align with National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) standards, embed key Ohio educational initiatives, and include an internship that prepares candidates for district leadership. Courses and internships focus on district vision and improvement, operations and management, policy and governance, and community and public relations. A new cohort begins each fall semester (applications are due by July 30).
